Active Isolated Stretching

Active Isolated Stretching (Stretching in a way that cooperates with your body)

Active Isolated Stretching is a superior stretching system from Aaron Mattes of Florida.  It works by accessing the brain’s trick of telling one muscle to “let go” when using an opposite muscle group.  A necessary requirement is to NOT HELP the stretch by using your hands to take over.  Also, BE LAYING DOWN.  Standing puts your muscles to work supporting and balancing you (which limits your ability to stretch).  This method is great for stubborn muscle tension.
